Many of you will practice Scrum, or some variant of Scrum like LeSS, SAFe, or MoAR. Some of you will practice XP or Software Craftsmanship. Modern software development environments are getting faster and more demanding as the needs of digital business and big data get faster and more demanding, the pace of change is accelerating and software (as Marc Andreessen put it) is eating the world.
But Scrum was revealed to the world in 1995, and XP in 1999. Both had been in development for years previously, at a time when many software developers now hadn’t even been born. As the second decade of the 21st Century draws towards its close, we have to ask ourselves what progress has been made in the last 20+ years, and what the next cycle of software development methodologies will bring? @sleepyfox is here to answer that question with his new development methodology: ‘NeXtP’.
